The owners of this newly built house approached Solinso over a year prior to the start of construction to go over their plans with us. The first thought was to utilise the west side of the roof with the maximum amount of solar roof tiles, which is a usual choice. Although the energy generation from the east is almost equal to that from the west. By dividing the solar roof tiles between the east side and west side, the share of own consumption (consumption of power in the home that runs concurrently with generation) is improved. When you get up in the morning and consume energy, you are supported by the sun in the east, and when you get home in the evening, the sun in the west still helps you in the late hours. This has a favourable effect on the financial return of the panels, especially in view of the removal of net-metering in the future.
In addition, paired with the ceramic Nelskamp Nibra G10 roof tiles, the house now has a beautiful and very calm appearance.
